FORGIVENESS IMPROVES YOUR HEALTH.

Nothing like watching the sun set knowing you are not taking the baggage of a spent day with you

I contemplated on this statement as I came face to face with a situation, one in which I felt I was wronged, and although I applied forgiveness the other person seems bent on holding on the resolve that being unkind is a way of getting justice or revenge.

Over the years I listened to many speakers talk about the co - relation between health and the state of your mind. Holding on to grudges, ill will, and past pains, does nothing but deprive you of being genuinely happy, steals your peace and clouds your vision for setting goals and seeking accomplishments.

I've heard too many sermons that can be backed up by scripture about the detrimental effects of holding into u forgiveness, this contributes to  bitterness in families, domestic abuse, murder, hate crimes and even wars

Imagine this isn't a thing we can buy or physically touch, it's its an emotion but fuelled it's as destructive as a nucleur bomb.

Forgiveness does more for the forgive than the forgiven. I make it a habit  I'm always eager to practise, because I will not carry such an unnecessary load.

And oh , using the old adage, I'll forgive, but I will not forget.. Hmmm,, no no it doesn't work that way, bury it, throw it all behind you, turn a new leave.
