From Burnout To Balance

Hi FAM,

A while ago, I found myself staring at my screen at 2 a.m., exhausted and overwhelmed. My mind was spinning with deadlines, career pressure, and a constant feeling of “not doing enough.” Despite keeping up appearances, I was battling anxiety and emotional fatigue—and I realized I wasn’t alone.

Research shows that over 70% of university students report moderate to severe psychological distress (WHO, 2022). And yet, so many of us feel like we have to “just deal with it” in silence.

This hit me hard, and it’s why I created this survey—to gather real insights into how undergraduates and postgraduates are navigating mental health and coping. The goal? To inform better support strategies from universities, employers, mental health organizations, and even government policy.
