From the Earth, your environment!

You can’t show care for something you’re ignorant about. Be aware and informed of your surroundings, and understand it, and that way you will be in a better position to react to anything concerning it. The environment replicates what you give it so when you damage it expect more of the damage in return. Different environments require different approaches regarding conservation and maintenance per their nature, seasons, and climatic conditions.

You are a reflection of your actions and for some reason, everything you do has an end, you have hurt the environment and thus the hostility by the climatic conditions. Everything beautiful and successful is a two-way thing, reciprocating energies and somehow you have failed as humans in being just with the environment.

Causes of degradation of the environment and their remedy

Deforestation, cutting down trees without replacement is a looming danger. A green environment is a healthy environment, a productive one. If you can’t replace then don’t cut it. In arid and semi-arid areas there are fewer or no trees at all hence the need to embrace massive planting of trees as you will be protecting generations from the consequences of your ignorance, there is always a solution as long as one is at will to do a thing. While planting be familiar with what the environment is like there, the seasons and get the compatible breed of tree that can thrive there.

Industrialization, is an important decision, especially in developing countries but while at it let’s not ignore the possible damage it can cause especially with the handling of waste. There should always be a way of disposing of waste without endangering the environment and the lives depending on it. Toxic waste pollutes the environment and that toxicity causes damage to the vegetation in that surrounding, killing it or slowing down the growth. The fight is against poverty and under industrialization but do not deviate from protecting what you already have.

Also, a lot of space meant for tree planting has gone to industrialization without even seeking an alternative way to keep the environment thriving in a smaller space. It is okay to want to grow but the growth should be healthy, I mean not tampering with what is already in place negatively.

Construction of underground tanks in place of boreholes in arid and semi-arid areas, these areas are badly affected by the extremely high temperature to the extent the boreholes dry up hence the need to construct underground tanks which will serve the purpose in those seasons. There is less or no evaporation with the underground tanks hence only the required amount of water will be used and will run for a longer duration despite the harsh high temperatures.

Floods, the rains are a blessing and somehow they exceed and floods occur. The floods wipe away a lot of the vegetation, livestock, houses, and humans. People are aware of the areas affected by floods and though a lasting solution has not been found, trapping the excess water through the digging of dams and ditches will not only lessen the floods but also conserve the water for future use.

Also planting trees and grass, especially in the sloppy areas will lessen the cracking of the earth that causes drift that poses a lot of dangers to the people living around those areas. You can’t be running from your problems always and entirely, you have to find solutions no matter how small they may seem after all you will be a step ahead in solving the nightmare caused by floods.

It is your responsibility to take care of the environment for its own thriving sake, yourselves, and the coming generations. Ensure that you leave it much better than you found it because it will always give back what you give it. The future generation must not suffer from your ignorance so change the narrative so they will experience a better and healthy environment.
