Waves roll onto sandy beaches where my grandson frolicks bravely. Connecting to the ocean's rhythm.
It's an ocean that some are declaring as one of peace ignoring the militarisation and inter-generational humanitarian impact of nuclear testing.
It's an ocean that is encroaching onto the remains of the gone but not forgotten forebears.
Where women go to fish and forage for food. For solitude in the midst of global busy-ness that is changing social, economic and community structures.
My Pacific Ocean is also one that through the currents and tides is connecting me with friends and allies in other small islands, in other countries - our lives ebb and flow.
It's how I see and connect with World Pulse.
Spanning across a global community of diverse people it is a place where stories ebb and flow from homes and communities of women in all her diversities seeking to make gender just, inclusive and transformative change.
It's a place I go to learn more from what is in the daily headlines of the mainstream news and commercialised programmes that strive for ratings.
It's that place where we can write because we have the safe and trusted space to share our unfiltered voice on issues that matter and solutions that are possible.
In 20 years, I hope more women are finding time and space to share their stories.
I hope my grandson and his friends will turn to World Pulse to read about what his #FeministNaniJi and her sisters from across the world collectively aspired for - a just, safe and peaceful world for all.
