From WorldPulse To Creating An Offline Pulse. Let me tell you a little, yet powerful story. 

If you have ever underestimated the power of the device and the internet in your hand, think again. If you have not experienced something magical through compassionate online engagement, wait for it, it's coming.

I joined WorldPulse about 4 years ago. Well, this is a platform for women, isn't it? Yet, it accepts and seamlessly works with every other gender.

Apart from the several connections I have made from here, there was one that happened a few months ago. After facilitating at my first international Tedx Workshop at the University of Stellenbosch, Cape Town, South Africa,  my next flight was heading to Nairobi the next day.

12 hours to my flight, I hadn't been able to reach my Kenyan host and my invitation letter was being modified for weeks (things just happen unexpectedly). I got a call.

It was from Amoit Idewa Immaculate. My Kenyan Sister. "Hi Fash, how are you today? Can I have a word with you? I will like you to advise me on... " After 10 mins of listening, I simply said: "Wow, did you know I will be in Nairobi tomorrow?"

At the end of the call, it was sure I will be meeting my sister and we will be running some training together. In a few hours, she had sent me an invitation letter. All things sorted within a few minutes of calls. 

I learned something very important: all I need is already around me, I only need to reach out, speak up or listen. Let me tell you what happened after I met my sister. I was in Malaba, Kenya for almost 3 days listening to stories of great impacts, relearning non-profit management, listening to the calm streams of water,  sharing a number of insights in community fundraising and team building.

Immaculate is doing an important job with girls in different parts of Kenya through her organization Western Twaweza Empowerment Campaign (WETEC).

We had a session with the students of Catholic Diocese of Bungoma, St. Teresa Malaba Mixed Day Secondary School for about 2 hours and I remember sharing with them about how to turn their gifts, knowledge and talents into great impacts. This closely aligns with my work as the Chief Listener at Prikkle Academy.

Then, we continued our impact journey together at another community called Bududa (not far from Mbale) in Eastern Uganda.

Having the support of brothers and sisters that brings so much compassion into the world is a great advantage. What are you trying to do and it needs a little support or collaboration, why not reach out to a sister or brother that has a heart of gold like yours to bring that amazing impact to everywhere you go.
