Frontline Journal Tips

Dear Correspondents,

We've received some questions about the frontline journal and your angles for this assignment. I want to clarify a couple of quick things. The frontline journal assignment is all about telling a story from your own perspective. The primary focus is not reporting on an issue from the standpoint of another persons or groups.

Think about a topic that you are passionate about--maybe it's something that impacts you every day? Is there change that is happening in your community that you want to be a part of?

You can include information and background about the subject, and even include interviews with other people involved in the topic--but the main idea is that you're telling a story about something that affects you--in your own words.

If you need any help brainstorming topics, please feel free to contact Cristi or myself.

Kind regards,

Rachael
