GBV & Building a Human Rights Culture

Sheroes Rising Development Initiative is slowly and gradually growing and expanding to fulfil its potential in being the platform and voice for women.
In the past year, we have hosted two webiners.
The first sheroes Rising Webiner series held on 8th MArch 2021 titled 'Sending A Boy to do a Man;s Job' challenging girl child marriage.
The second was an 'Introduction to Parental Alienation' . April 25th has been named Aprental Alienation Day by the UN, and it is being marked globally to create awareness on the silent phenomenum that is hiding in plane sigh in our societies and has turned into an epidemic in others.
The recording can be found here...........
Sheroes Rising also got a change of Trustees and a review in concept, objectives, visions and missions.
We are right now in the process of planning the first national GBV Confrence in Nigeria's state capital Abuja, where we would be hosting 2 participatns per state alongside professionals, experts and stakeholders on GBV.
This confrence is needed, due to the escalting rates of GBV/VAWGs on a daily basis.
Electionairing period is upon us, and unless women make it a duty to put women issues in the faces of the decision makes, it will only continue to be overlooked.
There is an urgent need to hold our political leaders to commtiment and accountability in respect to taking decisive actions towards eliminating GBV and ensuring gender equality in our society.
These issues and more are going to be on the agenda of the Sheroes Rising National GBV Conference.
