One pastor talked to me that he read: the spouses -‘suitable partners’ (genesis 2:18) is Not an “gender equality” in a family. Husband is the leader, head of family, wife not!
I said, why not?! Its a misunderstanding of criteria!
Equality is Not “EQUAL” (!) but the meaning of: Equal OPPORTUNITY !
Many parties misunderstand also the equality with “emancipation” (women’s rights upwards by feminist)
While women’s rights is integral to human’s rights that to be protected, fulfilled n respected.
There is also lack of knowledge on “women’s destiny” - kodrat perempuan - which only four (4); menstruation, pregnancy, deligery n breast feeding due to men canNot do it (!) ~ those Not incl: cooking, washing, cleaning, educating child etc.
If you are human then understood the women destiny & their barriers to gv them their rights to live, to have privacy, to work etc. esp in the family life- she involved n loves the most!
While equal opportunity given for knowledge, mkg decision, resting etc that md women to be empowered ->the gaining is back for family benefits!
That’s why GH - Gender Harmony; keeps teaching on role of expectation n role of performance in family ~ to gv equal opprtunity for enjoyment, recreation, studying towards “Peace & Harmony”living!🌻🌈
