This International Women's Day, we're reimagining digital spaces and we need to hear from you.
Across the world, women are navigating digital spaces that are often extractive, unsafe, and designed for addiction and distraction. Traditional social networks amplify disinformation, profit from our personal data, and enable cyber violence. But what if, instead of isolating and exploiting us, digital spaces helped us find each other — uniting our strengths in a shared movement for change?
That’s what we’re building together at World Pulse: a social impact network for social change. Here, women don’t just connect — we come together as changemakers, storytellers, encouragers, knowledge experts, donors, and visionaries to build a better world.
As we gear up for International Women’s Day (8 March), let’s envision what’s possible when digital spaces are designed not just to hold us, but to activate us, bringing us together for purpose — not profit.
Here's how to get involved in the lead up:
- Share your story! We've just released a new call for stories — From Distraction to Collective Action — and we need to hear from you. Share your reflections on the power of digital spaces to unite us for impact. When you share by 6 March, you could be featured in our International Women's Day event, or even receive a $300US Story Award! Learn more.
- Save the date! Join us on 13 March at 2pm UTC for a special Encourager Party: International Women's Day Edition! We'll hear from World Pulse community leaders, celebrate the power of digital communities, and discuss the unique roles we can all play in movements for change. Stay tuned for details! Register now.
