I spend much of my time making washable sanitary towels - Fempads - to send to my sisters who need them. I CANNOT believe the difference this simple idea is making.
So many girls miss a week of schooling every time they have their period and do not have access to feminine hygiene products.
Thus far I have sent them to Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, India, Democratic Republic of Congo and my biggest challenge of all - my latest box to South Sudan where they do not have a postal service. I at last found a courier who delivers to this war torn area.
