I wonder what her silence would say if she spoke;

In the process of being a submissive wife, a mother to her 12 children,
she lost who she was,
I watch as the sparkle in her eyes slowly fades away
as time passes by
always lost in thought,
in sight but away in mind;
did she have dreams, ambitions,aspirations,
before being transformed from a taita-taveta woman to a dictatorial kikuyu's wife?
who was she then,
who is she now?
