Healing Path

Growing up, I was the first daughter in a deeply traditional Igbo family, expected to be strong, wise and always composed. I wore those expectations like armor for years, learning how to lead, how to serve and how to carry the weight of others. But no one teaches you how to carry your own becoming.

I’ve always had a deep hunger for more not just more success but more meaning. More alignment. More God. And while I knew how to push through, I had to learn how to slow down, how to feel, how to heal.

Recently, I hit a wall emotionally, spiritually, financially. Everything I thought I had figured out began to unravel. I had made what I thought were wise decisions only to find myself overwhelmed, ashamed and silently drowning. But it was in that quiet breaking that something new started to rise. I learned to ask for help. I learned that desperation isn’t weakness, it’s honesty. And I learned that the Holy Spirit really is the strategist I never knew I needed.

Out of that wilderness came Sybil’s Scents not just as a business, but as a balm. A way to bring beauty, presence and peace into everyday life. With no large savings or perfect plan, I began to build slowly, prayerfully, intentionally. I sold my first products from scratch, sometimes unsure how the next batch would be funded. But God provided. Always.

Now, I am learning to lead differently. I want to create more than products—I want to build systems and spaces where women can rise. Where purpose and profit can co-exist. Where faith doesn’t stay behind closed doors but shows up in every decision. My story isn’t a straight line. It’s a path of falling forward, of choosing truth over appearance, and of letting God be seen through my becoming.

This is just the beginning.
