Health and Faith

It's been a year since I got married to the love of my life,

She exclaimed with teary eyes

You could feel and see the disappointment and sadness on her face, though elegantly looking with the best fragrance yet she hoped for more

But we don't have a child yet, she exclaimed, I am scared he might look outside to impregnate another.

You could see the desperation and quest all over her, but then I asked her

When last did you test for STIs?

How well do you know your body?

Do you know your menstrual cycle?

What is your cycle length?

How often do you meet your partner?

Are you both compatible ?

It will interest you to know she lacked the answers to most of these questions, though married they still managed pregnancy as a will of “Luck”

This is the pattern of so many couples today, they do not have any medical issues stopping them from conceiving but primarily don't just know their body and lack preconception care.

Getting pregnant is not as easy as most people think especially when you don't understand your body and when to prepare for it.

Proper preconception care is essential in ensuring a swift pregnancy journey and outcome through comprehensive education, proper nutrition and understanding your biological clock.

As a couple or adult thinking of getting pregnant, comprehensive prenatal counseling and care services need to a vital step in other to ensure a better pregnancy history and outcome.
