How I am influenced by Web 2.0

story
When I were a university student, I were one member of the Vagina Monolog troupe in our university, so many female students talk about all kinds of experiences and feelings about being a girl, then we collected the stories as a drama. That time we all felt powerfully as a group. Then we graduated and separated all over the country. We live our own lives.
This year, more and more Chinese use Sina-weibo(Chinese Twitter). One day, I met many members of the university Vagina Monolog troupe. Now we still live our own lives, but it is different, we keep in contact with each other by Sina-weibo.
Except getting touch with old friends, people can release the news what they see and experience immediately without censorship in Sina-weibo, so, we know more and more truth, such as the corrupt of the Red Cross Society of China; the train crash in 23 July and so on. Get the truth is so difficult sometimes, web2.0 make it easier.
If you can log in the weibo, you need not watch news TV and read newspaper to know the things outside. It means it doesn’t matter where you live, and what you do, even if you are a housewife. You are equal in information society. I live in a small city in South China and work in a native newspaper office. I felt behind the ranks before I using Sina-weibo. Now it is different. A friend told me about this PulseWire class by Sina-weibo and I have the opportunity to know so many friends who throw themselves into global women's empowerment movement. It is so exciting.
What solutions you think Web 2.0 brings to the global women's empowerment movement? As I said, easy to get the truth and easy to communicating with who are holding the same interest. This is the two prerequisites to stimulating actual deeds. Unity is strength. Web2.0 makes the unity of women all over the world become possible that was unbelievable ago.
Surely I was empowered by Web2.0. I wrote daily in my blog and many friends know my recent life from it and live messages as well as their courage to me. In Sina-weibo, I following many person who are think deeply about the fate of Chinese women and who are trying to improving women’s life in China, so I am more open-minded than before.
Finally,I want to say that Web2.0 do change the world deeply but there still many people who don’t know what is PC and internet in China. The change caused by Web2.0 didn’t affect them and those women are that need be empowered urgently.
