Here is my story....
I did not wake up one morning and decide to start a foundation.
I walked into it slowly.
Through volunteering.
Through listening.
Through standing beside other women’s dreams and helping them breathe.
For years, I carried impact without a name.
I showed up where I was needed, supporting NGOs, mentoring girls, holding space, doing the work quietly.
I coordinated various free ICT Trainings for teenagers, i worked as project coordinator for another foundaion for two years, i worked with Student Christian Movement(SCM) volunteering and going to schools weekly to teach children, i volunteered with Lush foundation etc.... this list is long....
I had No logo.
No registration.
I was not paid for all the works i did in this various foundations.
Just thank you
Just conviction.
Just Joy and excited for the impact
But something kept whispering: This work wants roots.
Today, that whisper has a name.
GreatGold Impact Foundation is now officially registered with Nigeria’s CAC.
Not as a sudden achievement, but as a continuation of obedience.
This moment is not about documents or status.
It is about responsibility.
About choosing to stop hiding behind “support” and step fully into stewardship.
World Pulse has been a mirror in this journey, reflecting courage back to me when doubt tried to speak louder. Through shared stories, shared wounds, shared hope, I learned that leadership does not require perfection only presence.
I had support, i had help all from World Pulse.
I want to sincerly appreciate my Mentor @Akshata Naikar,
Your support for my work and during the registration process reminded me that solidarity is not always loud, it is steady, generous, and timely. I am deeply grateful.
I want to also sincerely appreciate @Isaac Adeyemo the founder of modecai care foundation of Nigeria for his help in getting my NGO registered.
Even before the foundation was registered, the work had already begun.
Girls learning how to open a Gmail account for the first time.
Young serving corp memebers saving little by little to own laptops, tools of possibility.
Free learning platforms becoming doorways.
Mentorship unfolding in WhatsApp chats, voice notes, borrowed time.
The foundation did not start the work.
It simply gave the work a home.
This is not a departure from collaboration.
It is an expansion of it.
From supporting other visions to carrying one entrusted to me.
I step into this chapter with humility, aware that I am still learning, still listening, still becoming.
But I step forward nonetheless.
Because sometimes, becoming yourself means finally saying yes to what has been growing inside you all along.
This is not the end of a journey.
It is a beginning with roots.
Thank you World Pulse.
