Hi world pulse I come back here to share a story!!!!!!praying you enjoy. In my community there's so much rain and the mosquitoes are breeding and the spread of malaria is at its peak. My heart aches for the girls that experience early pregnancies and those that have babies. Malaria makes women experience miscarriages and babies can die if they don't get treatment. In my community women and girls are neglected mostly if she gets pregnant at an early age.
That's why I stated up a community organisation " HOPE ON THE ROCK MINISTRIES" a community organisation focusing on helping widows and teenage mothers and girl child.
The epidemic has swept food off the plates of widows who are not permitted to own land for farming after the death of their husbands!!!!!! . These widows who help me keep the abandoned teen moms in their small homes because I haven't built a shelter for abandoned teen moms yet have gone through a lot of issues including malaria and lack of food. The little girl's bodies can't breast feed well with malaria and their babies at risk of death.
I plan to have a communal garden for widows and girls to grow food to have a sustainable food supply and also distribute mosquito nets to prevent the spread of malaria as they sleep under mosquito nets with their babies.
Well part of my plans was fulfilled when a friend donated 20 mosquito nets and dry food and I used my women and girls to distribute it to the most needy families and what joy was on their faces as they received the nets and food. The vulnerable women and girls found themselves useful in the community where they are despised this is building their confidence and hope to impact people's lives greatly even in their vulnerability
