In may my team and I launched a virtual report desk which we named "tohkam" derived from pidgin English meaning speak up.

Tohkam is a virtual report desk where you can report case of violence (Rape, domestic violence, sexual harassement, child abuse) either as a victim or witness and help brought to the victim.

Reports can be done anonymously or publicly.By anonymous we mean you have the option of reporting or sharing your story in a way that not even the developers on the platform know anything about you.If you need help, we will advice you report anonymously while giving out some credentials which we take care of masking so no third party sees. You can report a case publicly.we advise this form of reporting mostly to individuals who will love to share their stories for sensitization purpose, not because they need help.

On tohkam we give you the opportunity to book for psychological assistance with therapist and counselors virtually.Anonymously because most victims who undergo certain type of violence are stigmatized, threatened so they prefer not to open up but it will be easier they open up if no third party is to know their identity. Anonymous booking of psychological follow up because discussing mental health in most African communities still sounds like a taboo.
