Human trafficking journalist from India

Hello everyone,

My name is Pari Saikia and I am from India. I'm an independent journalist and documentarian who investigates human trafficking from Asia and Europe. Reporting on matters like human trafficking, migration, refugees, slavery, labour rights, etc. is my main area of interest.

In 2021, I was awarded Lorenzo Natali Media Prize 2021 (Grand Prize) by the European Commission for my investigation into bride trafficking of Rohingya women. I am former fellow of Reporters Without Borders (RSF) in Germany— an organisation known for safeguarding the rights to freedom of information across the world. She is also a three-time grantee of ‘Modern Slavery Unveiled’ by Journalismfund Europe (2021, 2022 and 2023).

Happy to connect!
