Humanitarian services in darfur are collapse

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Clementine Nkweta Salami, said in a tweet on the X platform that humanitarian services in Zamzam camp in darfur are on the verge of collapse, water is scarce, and medical and food supplies are running out. The situation is deteriorating rapidly.

She expressed deep concern about reports of the destruction of homes and livelihoods in North Darfur. Civilians continue to pay the price.

She said that access to Zamzam camp In darfur is almost impossible - at a time when people need support more than ever.

She explained that aid workers are doing everything they can, but humanitarian needs far exceed available resources.
