Seeking
Connections

Hello World Pulse community,
My name is Mercy Yator from Kenya. Becoming part of this community is like stepping into a room full of bold women from all over the world who choose to make a difference with whatever resources they have and it doesn't matter where they come from, just like me.
I stumbled upon World Pulse on Facebook at one point, overlooked the post, and kept scrolling down. It kept showing up repeatedly until, eventually, I chose to log in and discover what World Pulse had to offer. I read impactful and diverse stories. Because I believe in the strength of our united voices and common experiences, I made the decision to proudly join the World Pulse community. Over the past few years, I have been creating a journey focused on peacebuilding, advocacy, and justice and I look forward to sharing my experiences as well as hearing about yours. My aim is to connect with women engaged in conflict transformation, grassroots advocacy, community-led justice, and digital activism. Additionally, I am here to listen, grow, and provide support wherever I am able.
I am passionate about peacebuilding and social Justice ,gender justice trying to create accessible spaces to negotiation and agreements. a strong commitment to fostering change in communities through nonviolent methods.
I am also an advocate for vulnerable populations, i recently started a small teaching or rather sensitization program that is majorly based on the childrens act of kenya 2022,most caregivers, parents and guardians are not fully aware of how the law expects them to act for the best interests of minors.
Learning and Knowledge-Sharing is also part of my passions.i consistently seek new information to gain more knowledge. can be from diverse backgrounds, topics and once i learn new things i usually share.
My interest in creating videos using cap cut, designing stuff using canva. the total creative communication combo has been enjoyable too since i started doing it.
The meaning behind the name is Mercy, a name that was given to me by my parents and grand mother(God rest her soul) with intention a reminder of grace, compassion, and second chances. The true story is that a farmer, whose fields were ravaged by our cows, decided to show them mercy because they had dashed to the hospital to greet my arrival and had left the cows unattended. And honestly, I love it. It reminds me daily to approach life with softness and strength, and to offer others the kind of mercy we all sometimes need; feel acknowlelged, understood, and forgiven.
I'm currently working to expand the reach of mediation and peace education, child rights education,
