I am nominating Immaculate Amoit a Women Rights Activist from Kenya for World Pulse Spirit Awards

I met Immah in Mombasa early this year however I have been following her work online platforms. Immaculate embodies sisterhood, uses available resources to impact women and girls not only in her community but across Kenya and Uganda.  After our physical meeting she offered her expertise to support my organizations’ work during the period she was in Mombasa, she also introduced myself and other woman to World Pulse and other human and financial resources that we could tap into at Smiles of Hope Kenya. Since 2014 Immaculate is working to support young women in enterprise development through her grassroots nonprofit WETEC in Kenya and other platforms through collaboration & partnerships. Her projects have Impacted more than 4000 girls within Kenya and neighboring Uganda.  She advocates for access to services and information for adolescent girls/young women in Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights. She is Policy Advocacy Enthusiast who believes governments should develop engendered budgets, and allow meaningful engagement of women and youth to reduce poverty and promote prosperity.  She lobbies for access to equal opportunities for youth and women in marginalized areas across the continent. She strongly believes there should be collective and deliberate effort to increase safe spaces that allow women and girls to thrive. I am confident that this Award will fuel her passion and strengthen her resolve to keep making a difference in the lives of women and girls.
