I didn’t shrink my body to become someone new.

I softened it, to finally meet the one who had been waiting inside.

For so long, I didn’t hear my body.

It wasn’t about weight, or size, or image.

It was about the sheer absence of contact.

I lived my life with my body always nearby —

but never with me.

I wasn’t at war with it.

I just didn’t know it was speaking.

I fed it when I was anxious.

I filled it when I felt empty.

I asked it to carry what I could not process — and it did.

Silently.

Faithfully.

Without thanks.

Until one day I stopped.

I didn’t say: “I want to lose weight.”

I said: “I want to feel again.”

And slowly, the fog began to lift.

I learned to ask:

“Are you hungry?”

“What do you truly need?”

And my body answered.

Now I watch Roman, my son.

He eats with joy, freedom, and clarity —

three plates at once, no rules, no shame.

He mixes fruit and vegetables, hot and cold, sweet and savory —

and then, with full presence, says: “I’m done.”

And I never ask him to finish.

Never shame his rhythm.

Because I see what I never had:

a child in complete trust with himself.

And I will never take that away.

I wrote this moment in my Earth Angels notebook.

Because one day, I will open a place where no child will be separated from their voice.

Where food will be food —

not a reward, not a pressure, not a power struggle.

Just nourishment.

Just love.
