I enjoy being a woman

I really enjoy being a woman. Born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I was a desired and cherished daughter. I was good at academics and was always a teachers' pet. I was a class leader, a monitor and when I was in college I was the class representative. It helped being a girl in a class where 85% students were boys.

I am shy so did not mix much with the male gender but I always had and have a lot of lady friends. So much so that in college I got a fishpond(title) that I was never found alone in nature. Though I am short, I was quite attractive and got married to the right person , became a mother at the right age and am now a grandmother of three cute children.

I have never ever felt that I should have been born as a boy. I am satisfied with myself.

Sometimes, of course, I have felt tied up that because of my gender I cannot do some things. Like going out at midnight for a stroll or keeping in the background when interesting but  not so good incidents take place.

But overall I enjoy being female. I like wearing good dresses, making up, enjoying entertaining programmes and the like. I have always felt safe and sheltered, though I have been given a big rope to wander about. I became a journalist and wrote on several topics, including crime. I visited jails where criminals were kept and spoke to them. However I preferred the entertainment beat and attended several programmes in the course of duty.

I have travelled almost half the globe with my family. And enjoyed every bit.
