I NOMINATE -LEAH

I appreciate Leah for my being who I am today ,she taught me a lot when I had no one to do so .Leah is a very hospitable person since at my younger age I would see our house  by then flooded with women I knew nothing about their background or what they came to do early in the morning or late in the night but Leah could gladly wake herself up upon mentioning to her that there was a female visitor waiting in the sitting room. It's when am now realising that the women were part of her  from the world pulse since she was there to lift them financially or emotional. Not that she had much to offer but she could deny herself just to put a smile on those female visitors. I could open the door and find a derenched woman in the door but upon sharing with Leah in the dining room I could peep and see a smile or a brighter face of the sad woman I had met early. I learnt  innerwordly to called her 'a miracle Leah'. Sometimes the women would come with rushes in their skind but Leah would give them an ointments even though she was not a health worker but knowing what the victim needed she didn't hesitate to assist where she could. She would make an appointment with the women and for sure early in the morning she would leave to see to it that she obey that promise just to put a smile on her fellow women .As from the world pulse I became curious of her all day work on the laptop which gave her more hope , smile and a reason to continue with her mission of assisting women and that's how I became a member of world pulse  through her registration in 2011 since by then I still didn't  know much about online technology. I have learnt a lot from her through her teaching and imitation. Not to forget the food was not much but the little she had we would happily share with the female guests upon their arrival. I have learnt that it doesn't matter how much you have but how far are you ready and willing to share and help anyone in need of it and just by giving a listening ear to a sister make a change in that person's life. As I nominate her (Leah Auma Okeyo) I honest believe she is one of the best thing that has ever happened to me. May you be blessed and continue with the spirit of a fight for a better world for women like us even as you battle the monster of cancer too.Be strong cause I believe you shall overcome it.
