I Nominate Regina Young for the World Pulse Spirit Awards

Regina Young is a wonderful and vibrant activist whose work with vulnerable girls and women with disabilities is inspiring to say the least. She has joined the voices of World Pulse women leaders working in the space to champion advocacy for girls and women with disabilities and she remains a powerhouse. She has carried out several projects and joyfully shares her work with the community.

She has to deal with so much, yet she excels as a wife, mother, and community leader in her country, Cameroon, that has suffered several setbacks as a result of the crisis ravaging the country for years now. She actively joins other activists in her country to demand peace and justice in her country.

Regina visited my country, Nigeria before the end of last year and I had the singular privilege to meet in person. I had a memorable time experience a World Pulse offline meet up with Regina. We talked for a long while and shared a bit about our work and our countries. It was so surreal to meet physically and to receive the gift of the local beads that she teaches the vulnerable girls to make. I love and cherish the World Pulse Spirit that connects us offline and online. And this is why I nominate Regina for the World Pulse Spirit Award.
