There was a time when I didn’t even know what "freelancing" meant. I had no fancy tech setup, no mentor, and no idea where to begin. But I had one thing: a deep desire to do something on my own. Something that could give me the freedom to earn, grow, and support myself digitally.

Today, I’m earning through my digital skills, writing, SEO, content creation. I work with clients from different parts of the world. I work from home, manage my time, and I’m building a future on my own terms. And you know what? You can too. If I can learn it from scratch, so can you. You don’t need to be a tech genius, you just need the courage to start. Digital tools are not as scary as they seem. Once you start exploring, you’ll realize the power they hold to change your life.

Girls in ICT Day is a reminder for all of us that technology isn’t just for boys or experts. It’s for you, me, and every girl out there who dreams of a better tomorrow. So, to every young girl reading this: learn a skill. Start small. Google things. Watch tutorials. Ask questions. Say yes to learning. Say yes to you.
