I’m the cornerstone that the builder once rejected – Now I’m the Solid Foundation

It's about letting go and becoming me

I’m the cornerstone that the builder once rejected – Now I’m the Solid Foundation

I’m the cornerstone that the builder once rejected – Now I’m the Solid Foundation

As a young lady growing up in the countryside of Tobago, I was oftentimes teased and called lots of hurtful names such as century monkey, virgin beast, Sundancer, ape face and the likes. Through it all writing has always been the healer, I would write and write just about any and everything.

You could say that writing saved my life, and my childhood dream and goal for when I got older and became an adult was to become a writer, and not just a simple writer – but a writer extraordinaire.

Through my growing years and well into adulthood, writing seemed like more of a hobby, a passion than a career to pursue – and thus I had pursued other career opportunities. Then as time went by returned to writing, but more so with the modern times – blogging was the go.

I have been writing blog articles/posts and blogging for over nine plus years (from 2015 to present) in various niches - from food, farm, agriculture and chocolate - to Tobago's culinary experience and restaurant reviews - then tea parties and breakfast meals - followed by spa and wellness reviews - to natural beauty and lifestyle brands handcrafted and handmade by our local and regional natural beauty brand formulators and artisans across each island in the Caribbean Diaspora, and quiet recently about everything that has to do with money mindset, personal finance, and insurance.

Plus, I tried my hand at many different business side ventures, while still been gainfully employed - from grant writer to business blogging coach, even as a beverage photographer and lifestyle product photographer, then as a personal financial and money mindset coach – hoping that one day, one of these career ventures would turn into a entrepreneurship reality for me.

Fast Forward to the present, all thanks a dear friend of mine, who sent me an eBook on how to become a social media content writer and everything that a social media content writer do, which prompt me to do more research to see is a social media content writing service was viable and worthwhile in Trinidad and Tobago.

To my surprise, it was a very viable business venture, just that one needed a niche that they were great in, which brought me back to the past and what Tobago was truly all about the culinary experience and our food and drinks, but I don’t cook and I’m more a lover of sweets treats and chocolates, plus I love a great quenching and nourishing beverage to go with my sweet treats – so beverage was it for me.

Plus, also, I found out a lot about myself, my strengths, weakness and that the two skills that stuck with me throughout my years that I was great at are graphic designs and writing. Now, I am an Eco Event Coach — helping conscious couples and soulful hosts plan beautiful, sustainable events with ease, intention, and a whole lot of heart. Based in Tobago, I coach, guide, and co-create with nature lovers to align their celebrations with their values — all without the stress of traditional event planning."
