Instead of a cage, flight is our right.

Instead of a cage, flight is our right. Instead of silence, voice is our right. Instead of fear, life is our right.

Instead of a cage, flight is our right.

In this painting, a small bird is not hidden behind the bars of the burqa — it is imprisoned.

No voice, no flight… only a tired eye watching the world from behind the cage.

This is not just a painting —

it is the silenced scream of thousands of Afghan women, who breathe the weight of oppression in silence.

A bird that should be flying in the sky has now, under the forced veil, become a symbol of a nation.

With this work, I want to say:

We are not silent. We are not forgotten.

We live through art, we paint with pain, and we resist with color.

Instead of a cage, flight is our right.

Instead of silence, voice is our right.

Instead of fear, life is our right.
