Just living my life
My name is Sadia Rahman. I am 34 years old and a mother of two (a daughter and a son). Life changed suddenly when I lost my husband, and I found myself carrying the responsibility of my family alone. It was not just the pain of loss, but also the way society began to look at me differently that made the journey even harder.
As a widow, I realized that many people judge us without understanding our struggles. We are often treated as if we have done something wrong, when in reality, we are simply trying to survive and rebuild our lives. This experience opened my eyes and gave me a new purpose.
I lost my husband at the age of thirty, just thirty. After his death, my mother-in-law refused to take me back into the family. I was shocked and deeply worried about my children. I fell into depression and experienced panic attacks twice. There was a time when I felt very close to losing my life. But with time and strength, I overcame those dark moments. Today, I am raising my two children on my own.
Now, I do not seek support only for myself; I want to support others like me. I listen to their stories, stand beside them, and try to help them overcome their pain and depression.
Today, I am not only raising my children with love and strength, but also raising my voice for our rights. I am here to share my stories with the beautiful souls and inspire others who're suffering like me. I believe widows deserve respect, freedom, and the right to live life on their own terms. My journey is not just about survival, it is about creating change, so that no widow feels judged or alone again.
