Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
Vivian Tantoh-Taminang is a health professional, and community worker. A graduate of Howard university in Maryland, USA, where she earned a bachelor degree in Nursing, Vivian has been involved in nursing care and clinical research at Howard University and the National Institutes of Health where she presently works.
In conjunction with her clinical duties, Vivian has actively indulged her passion for community service, especially in issues relating to women empowerment and children welfare. As a nursing student, she volunteered with many non-governmental organizations such as Keng Foundation and United Action for Children where she gained extensive experience in community work, needs assessment, report writing, project evaluation resource mobilization, and community development. She has attended numerous conferences and presented several papers in the course of her career, including the International Women conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Spurred by the desire for wider outreach, she formed a non-profit, Scholastica Foundation two years ago, with mission to better the well-being of underprivileged women, children, and HIV/AIDS victims, worldwide. Her vision is a world in which all women and children have the opportunity to maximize their God-given potential free from illiteracy, poverty and and disease. Her other interests include volunteering, travelling, and networking.
