About Me: Greetings. I am a faculty member in the Department of Special Education at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon. Originally from San Diego, I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 15 years. I have three grown and beautiful children. I volunteer locally with the Portland-Guadalajara Sister Cities and other local organizations. My career focus and hobby is to create equitable educational systems for all students. I love to work with the various cultural groups in our region and love learning about new ones.
