Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am a teenage Canadian girl hoping to make a difference and improve the rights of all, particularly young women. I am interested in change and helping the less fortunate. I want to be a part of the women's and children's movements. I am currently enrolled in a program that explores global issues and provides cultural experiences. The topic I am most interested in is the dangerous world of child brides. I plan on one day being able to help prevent this harmful practice. Of course it is essential that we understand these peoples' culture and traditions and reasoning behind early marriage. I would love the opportunity to travel abroad and observe the struggles faced, in order to truly understand the point of child marriage, before it can be abolished. We live in a world of great passion, opportunity, and power, and every individual, regardless of race, age, or sex should be given the chance to do something grand.

My Passions:
reading, writing, sports

My Vision for the Future:
A world free from discrimination and pain. A world where women and children have equal rights. A world of peace and harmony. A world where everybody gets equal opportunities and the chance to change the world!
