Introducing myself and my journal



About Me:
In 2002, I obtained a fellowship from the Ford Foundation to study for a master’s degree in Environment and Development at the University of Reading in the UK. Since the completion of my studies, I have returned to my lectureship position at the Department of Physics, Bayero University Kano. I have continued to be involved in community activities side by side with my professional pursuit. My study of environment and Development has however, focussed my research towards impacts of different activities on the environment. In the field of energy, I am particularly inclined to hydropower as a renewable resource and the recovery of energy from waste. I hold a PhD in Atmospheric Physics and pursuing potdoctoral research in space weather Physics. I am currently the Deputy Dean (female), Student Affairs, Bayero University Kano. Nigeria
