Introducing myself and my journal

About Me:
I am 31 years old and I live in Portland, OR. Originally from North Carolina, I have lived in Italy, California, Washington, and Canada. After selling wine and advertising for many years I quit my career to pursue a dream of sailing around the world on a sailboat with my ex at the time. We spent two years sailing the west coast of the US and Canada. Eventually, I left the relationship and the sailboat for a volunteer position as a karma yogi on Cortes Island, BC. After a month there, I moved to Portland to start my life over. That was three years ago and now I am in a Master's in Strategic Business Communications Program at The University of Oregon in Portland. I am eager to pursue a career in communications with a local non-profit aimed at empowering women.
