Introducing myself and my journal: About me



About Me:
My name is Sehrish Shaban and I am going to be leading the video module for Voices of Our Future.



A little bit about myself- I am a journalist, documentary filmmaker, media trainer and consultant. I have been part of the multimedia journalism revolution since 2005 when I started my career at Washington Post Newsweek Interactive. Since then, I have reported and produced content for washingtonpost.com, PBS NewsHour and NYTimes.com, Geo Television, DawnNews, Doordarshan amongst other international media outlets. Most recently I was producing video as part of the launch team for an award wining multimedia business news site at Thomson Reuters in New York.
As a media trainer and consultant I have developed curriculum and trained journalists in investigative reporting, photojournalism and video production as well as in ethics and leadership.
I also consult organizations in developing and implementing result oriented communication strategy.
I have a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and Women’s Studies from the University of Virginia and a digital media production diploma from the New York Film Academy.



I currently live in Delhi with my husband Abhishek.
