Introducing myself and my journal: Agents of Change

About Me:
I love to travel. When I was seven, I packed up a suitcase and ran down the block in my straw hat and boots, only to return and ask my mother if she would travel with me. At 20, while studying Journalism at the University of Oregon, I finally began to travel the world on my own for periods at length. Whimsical plans and penny-pinching have taken me to a University in Queretaro, Mexico, a newspaper in Bangalore, India, farms and schools in rural Ecuador and Colombia, and a village in Zambia. While some part of me thinks each trip might cure the wander lust, the experiences only make me crave to see more, and only add to the inspiration to make this world a better place, especially through touching the lives of women.

My Passions:
Sustainable international development

My Challenges:
Lack of resources

My Vision for the Future:
That women around the world will have an equal say in the fate of their lives, and that all beings, men and women, will have equitable opportunity in their professional and private lives

My Areas of Expertise:
Journalism, community development
