Introducing myself and my journal: Birth Into Being With Love

About Me:
My father's mother was a spiritualist minister medium who communicated with the spirit world. My Father was a Republican Zeus Capitalist businessman who turned his back on his mother's church where he had spoken from the pulpit, because of being ridiculed for having a witch as a mother. He also turned his back on his ability to "see the future". I learned this about him the year before he died. Before he died he disgustedly said "You are just like my Mother!". Well, i took that to be a fabulous compliment because i always thought he was so good at "judging" a person. My mother gave birth to me, her 3rd child, vaginally and quickly and naturally back in 1955 and breastfed me, when most mothers had gone to the corporate pushed junk bottle milk, and when told i did not weigh enough at 6 months and she needed to switch to the bottle, she told the doctor forget that, after a whole summer of not swimming in the lake d/t breastfeeding, she wasn't gonna stop then! At 21yo and in nursing school- i could not figure out what and how to assess peoples "spiritually", it was a HUGE disconnect. AND, i never even heard the word midwife until i was out of nursing school!
Now, at -soon to be - 58 yrs old. I am a certified nurse midwife attending out of hospital births lovingly. practicing shamanic spiritual healing. And know everything is spirit. and still working on gentling myself from my learned behavior of raging from my dear father.
