Introducing myself and my journal: BLABBER BOARD

About Me:
Hello! I am Folashade Adebayo from Nigeria. I am 28 years old. It is a pleasure to meet you all at Pulsewire. Personally, I love colours. I am inspired by greenery and freshness of ideas. I used to be an athlete, back in secondary schools and won many track awards. I also like to write, so I studied journalism at the Lagos State University. I report just about anything. I am also a public health advocate and I engage in literary writings away from the office. I have been a journalist for seven years now and my work has exposed me to a sundry of issues. I have met the high and the mighty. I have also met the poor men and women who live in the interiors of the earth. Whichever the side of the divide you are, humanity runs through us all. That means all men ( and women) are equal. Everywhere I report however, inequality prompted by greed and bad leadership stares me in the face. How do I bridge this gap in my corner. It is great to be part of this community where ideas are traded daily like the stock exchange. ( I call it PULSE EXCHANGE). I want to feel your pulse in your corner of the world. Let's get this started!

My Passions:
i AM INTERESTED IN PROVIDING WOMEN WITH INFORMATION TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES. I LOVE MOTIVATING AND INSPIRING YOUNG PEOPLE. I LOVE READING AND WRITING TO EXPOSE THE ILLS IN CHILD LABOUR AND TRAFFICKING.

My Challenges:
STILL STRUGGLING TO CONQUER THE NEW MEDIA. INTERNET ACCESS IS LIMITED AT WEEKENDS

My Vision for the Future:
A FUTURE WHERE EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF GENDER, RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION AND ECONOMIC BACKGROUND HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO DREAM AND ACHIEVE HIS OR HER AMBITIONS. A FUTURE NOT KILLED OR DISABLED BY THE INEQUALITIES AND HARSH ECONOMIC REALITIES OF TODAY

My Areas of Expertise:
WRITING, INTERVIEWS, HEALTH REPORTING, LOCAL GOVERNMENT REPORTING
