Introducing myself and my journal: Celebrate Empowerment

About Me:
I am a life-long feminist activist who represents NOW (National Organization for Women) as an NGO at the United Nations. I did my graduate work in International Relations and currently am Program Director for the Council for Responsible Genetics, a non-profit organization comprised of scientists and scholars who advocate for biotechnology in the public interest. I am a survivor of domestic violence who went on to thrive as a counselor and advocate. I am also a passionate advocate for indigenous peoples rights.

My Passions:
Equality and Justice, especially for women, indigenous people and animals

My Challenges:
Self-discipline and cultivating non-judgment

My Vision for the Future:
A planet where both genders are respected and valued and patriarchy and militarism ended

My Areas of Expertise:
Communications, Coalition work, advocacy, politics and issue knowledge
