Introducing myself and my journal: Dream BIG!!

About Me:
I was born in Havana, in the beautiful and vibrant Island of Cuba in 1963. My parents were born in a small fishing village in the province of Las Villas, Caibarien. I sometimes refer to it as the most beautiful place in the UNIVERSE! It isn't really, my intellect is aware that there are other places far more beautiful, however to me it is. It is a perfect combination of ocean, mountains, farms and culture to satisfy my deepest desires for a wonderful life. Unfortunately my parents had to abandon this paradise when I was only 5 years old due to the political and economic situation. I say unfortunately and I catch myself torn with that remark, it was definitely unfortunate that I had to leave my country and most important all of my loved ones behind, however my parents were fortunate enoughnto be given political asylum in truly the greatest country in the world: the United States of America. We settled in Miami, Fl along with thousands of other Cuban refugees and proceeded to make this city a little piece of our homeland. I have lived here ever since, and no matter were I travel, this place is forever home, even if a still have and always will have a piece of my heart in that
small fishing village called Caibarien.
I share my life and my home with a beautiful woman and our two cats. I have a twenty-one year old son that is my
greatest pride and joy. So often he amazes me in how he expresses himself and how he is with others and with the
world. LIFE IS AWESOME!
