Introducing myself and my journal: Empowering Women's Voices

About Me:
I am passionate about using theatre as a tool to help women empower their own voices. By developing a workshop for empowering women's voices and touring it around to parts of the world, I am continually seeking to improve ways that I can offer tools for women to have the courage, skills and practice using their voices in the public realm. I've created a video/DVD of this workshop that I am excited to get out to women. You can download it or use it online for free or order a copy of the DVD from www.mothersactingup.org and click on "The Mother Tour."
I'm excited to be a part of the World Pulse community. I love this movement and what it is doing to give women a format for sharing their stories and views. I am grateful for it to bring us all together so we can share what we are all doing.
I live in Boulder, Colorado right at the base of where the Rocky Mountains start. I have three kids, Peter who is 18, Melisande, who is 15 and Lerato, who is 7. My hubby JP is a great partner and father and supportive of what I do. I'm a professor of theatre at the university in our town. Being a part of the university has really supported my work. I'm grateful for the women I work with and am such close friends with through Mothers Acting Up. We really share the same vision and sharing our programs and tools, we can make a huge difference for our world!
