Introducing myself and my journal: Freedom to be Me



About Me:
I am a young female who have been working in dvelopment and public health sector for eleven years. i have a post graduate diploma in Social work and development (PGD) and currently i'm studing for my masters in medical social work (MSW).
i am very interested in programs that aim to empower women and especially young girls in primary and post primary level of education. i have had the previledge of working and advocating for the good of this target audience. i was part of a team that worked at inreasing the rate of school completion and reduce the rate of drop out of the girl child from school.
I have also fulfilled one of my passion by seeing to the passage of the bill into law, the prohibition of the harmful practice of female genital cutting (FGC/FGM) in one of the states in Nigeria and we are working on replecating the passage of the same bill in other states of the federation where this practice is been carried out.
The passage of the Child Right Act in some states of Nigeria is also one of the achievements of my development work experience.

To see that all girl children have equal opportunuty to education and good health across the Nigerian Country
