Introducing myself and my journal: Freedom to Dance, Feel Joy & Learn!

About Me:
I am the first female in my lineage to obtain undergraduate and graduate university education. My Irish Great Grandmother gave birth to 16 children, 11 of them survived. My German Grandmother had a 7th grade education and was married to an abusive, alcoholic, gambling man who was the product of my Irish Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather. My Father, Mother, and older Sister have high school education and are/were all alcoholics. I detached from my family by 12 years and got busy at school. This helped my life. Now I am in a graduate Marriage Family Therapy program in California and want to help girls to find their voice, empowerment them. My child life was scary but I found light..I don't know how I did this...well yes, I know - to feel as a child, to play, dance and learn. I watched the "Half the Sky" movie this evening and I have now found how I can use my life experience and education - to support girls who are in a hard life and feel lost - to help them play, dance and get an education! Education a girl - Change the world! I am so happy I watched "Half the Sky" and found World Pulse. Thank you.
