Introducing myself and my journal: Hira's Web Journal

About Me:
I have been in the development field for over four years working voluntarily for young children, girls and women. I am working at UNDP Pakistan where I primarily work for Gender projects spread over different provinces in Pakistan. I have been working for Young people for several years and i voluntarily advocate for young people’s rights through different youth platforms, the current one being UNFPA. I along with a group of 3 young girls have been working under our group called the “Youth Dividend”. Youth Dividend group has diverse experiences in the field of Media, Gender, Youth, Advocacy, teamwork, public speaking, organizing meetings and forums with youth and stakeholders, and immense experience at grass root level in different areas of Pakistan, and experience of working with vulnerable, marginalized communities, and key populations, so this project would cater large number of girls and other communities of Pakistan. I am currently involved in making a documentary and study titled" Addressing Gender Based Violence and Reproductive Health Issues in Flood affected areas "- Motivating Pakistani Youth into Changing Mindsets through Development of Sensitive Media Contents on Gender Based Violence".
