Introducing myself and my journal: Launching Women against the Tide

About Me:
I am a painter, a lawyer, a novelist, a journalist, an activist, and a nerd. I was moved by Annie Jump Cannon's story - her insight changed the field of astronomy forever and she almost left the discipline because she was originally told she was just a "silly woman." When the man who told her so realized she had seen what no one since Galileo had been willing to see - the truth about our stars - he at least gave her credit. AnnieCannons hopes that one day its programs can ensure that no women with the vision to change the world is denied the opportunity because of her gender or her ethnicity.
