About Me:
Hello,
I am pursuing her doctoral research on “Coverage of Kashmir Conflict by Newspapers” under the supervision of Dr. G.R. Syed. My full particulars are mentioned in my CV and I have attached my writing sample along with my research proposal as per the requirements mentioned in the notice issued by your office.

Sir, I have completed my graduation in 2006, from the University of Kashmir. I have earlier worked in many local newspapers like, Greater Kashmir, Current Kashmir at Kashmir ‘The daily Etalaat’and in National newspaper ‘Statesman’.

Besides working in print media I have also worked in Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar for a short span of time.

I have also worked for human rights issues in Kashmir voluntarily. In addition to this I have worked as a freelancer for local dailies and NGO’s based in Kashmir.

As a researcher I am interested in working for human rights issues in Kashmir and textual analysis of the content published in the print media. I have recently presented a research paper “ Role of Newspapers in covering Kashmir Conflict” in a five day seminar conducted by ‘XXXII Indian Social science 18-22 December 2008 Jamia Millia Islamia New Delhi.

My Passions:
Reading both fiction and non fiction, writing and watching movies

I cannot manage time

I want to be a successful human rights activist nad journalist
