Introducing myself and my journal: Seeing differently

About Me:
I am a graduate of city college. I majored in cultural studies. I am interested in all form of human interactions for now (I do not discard studying other species in the future) My objective is to understand cultural patterns in different societies and create, in the process, a way of bridging our many differences. It is my conviction that if we dedicate part of our time to studying our beliefs and approaches to life, we can better understand this idea of the "other". For instance, the commercialization of female bodies, the very subject that led me to World Pulse, I was one of those guys who believed that women's bodies were something to admire and worship. And the better looking (in my view) the more attention it deserved from me. I was also a porn watching kind of guy who would justify his habits by claiming the no harm to any one mantra. But if you examine porn ( I have) you will see that the majority of those involved are women from countries struggling economically or from sectors that are vulnerable to an economic downfall. So this idea of female opting for a career in porn or prostitution for that matter is not much of a choice really. It is more of a survival outlet for them or their families. Anyhow I hope that one day people will join this conversation instead of avoiding it.
