Introducing myself and my journal: The hidden treasure

About Me:
I work for a farmer organisation called Kenya National Farmers Federation (KENAFF).KENAFF is a non-political, non-profit making and democratic member-based umbrella organization of all farmers in Kenya. It represents the interests of about 2 million farm families as the legitimate farmers’ voice with the objective of articulating issues affecting them through focused lobby and advocacy, targeted capacity building and promotion of sector stakeholders’ cohesiveness in dispensing and progressive uptake of agricultural innovations for enhanced socio-economic status of the farmers.

Farmers are key stakeholders and clients that i deal with hence must be put at the centre of everything in all my endevours as i look into their concerns. As a ICT/Agribusiness i got a thirst that i look foward to quenching, i feel that ICT is a treasure that the world at large has discovered but 'Owe unto the farmer' who has been practically not addressed. Through capacity building, publications and word of mouth i am convinced my passion for a famer in adpting the ICT will one day take a twist as he discovers the treasure.

The womans voice in the farming fratenity has also not been heard, i got the urge to equip the woman in ICT as i empower them to own and practise farming as business.

In a nutshell i look foward to acquring more knowledge, sharing ideas and expriences in the world pulse.
