Introducing myself and my journal: To love is never to give up

About Me:
I am the so-called Firewood Stick. My team members gave me that name in one of our trips in 2011. I started to had a dream since 2006 but not until 2010-2011 did my dream become this clear.
Three years later, my "Love Fund" with the slogan also came from that legendary trip "To love is never to give up" has now reached the internet world via: http://www.quyyeuthuong.org
It's still in progress and it need a lot more effort to build up. However, my team felt very proud of what we have done in these three years.
At top priority, we maintain our School Fund which is currently supporting nearly 100 pupils and students in Vietnam. They are all from poor families in small villages who were at the edge of leaving school for a living. We helped them with the school fees and some necessary expenses (uniforms, bicycles,...) to keep them going to school. Some cases even didn't have a house to live in, we built a house for them. One case even didn't have a piece of land to build a house, we bought a small one for them and then built the house. All our little boys and girls are studying well, some got awards and honorable prizes in the province examination.
To reach the further area, we organized some relief trips to extremely difficult areas. I called it Milk Fund because the children in those areas hardly ever had milk to drink. We gave them as much as we could at the time: milk, rice, salt, sugar, old clothes, blanket, hats, shoes, soaps, toothpaste and toothbrushes, and all school stationery. And I took those chances to explore the areas to see if the School Fund could work there. Some were successful, some were not as there is no high schools nearby for them.
It's always very hard for me to keep doing my job well (for a living) and keep devoting to this work at the same time. For all these years, I felt down sometimes when we didn't have enough volunteers to come to the areas. But I could never give up as long as those little kids kept sending letters saying that they got good marks or even that they got bad results because of this and that.
In this developing country, we are fighting for our own living everyday.
But there are always hopes in those little eyes and I always believe in miracles.
So, on this loving road, we choose not to give up.
