Introducing myself and my journal: United we stand

About Me:
Namaste!
My name is Bhan Sahu. I am a grass root activist in Chhattisgarh state of India. I have been an activist for past 15 years. I lost my father when I was 14 and my husband when I was in my early twenties. Life to me has always meant struggle. But this is why I am not scared of fighting. In my state I fight against displacement of tribal people by mining companies and power corporations. I fight against eviction of tribal people from forest land by the government. I fight against illiteracy and violation of rights.

I came to World Pulse because of Stella Paul, who is my sister and my mentor. She taught me many things - video making, facebook, twitter etc and told me that there are many women outside India who are also fighting for social justice like me and I can join them and be one of them. I do not know English, still I am joining this forum because I believe that when we have same cause, we can somehow overcome our language barrier.

My Passions:
Social Justice

My Challenges:
Financial resource, Language

My Vision for the Future:
A happy, healthy world for all

My Areas of Expertise:
Human rights, health, water
